Family Commissary & Pantry

The "Operation Assist" is a family oriented commissary where used clothing and other household articles are made available to lower income families residing in McLennan county. A food pantry stocked with canned goods and dry goods is also included. A medical equipment lending service is also available. No fee is charged for any goods or services, but a voluntary donation is possible.

The "Operation Assist" commissary and pantry is available only to McLennan county residents, and is geared towards families. Access is granted only to individuals who can show a photo ID, and also a proof of residence such as an electric bill, or water bill. The Waco Regional Baptist Networks's "Operation Assist " organization is manning this area for the Waco Outreach Foundation.

This service differs from existing services like Goodwill and the Salvation Army in that the goods provided are free of charge as opposed to being available for a fee. Also, some of the other downtown outreach services are geared towards the homeless population. It is the intent of W.O.F. to focus on local Waco resident families who are not homeless, but rather just need some supplemental help.

Hours of operation are Monday , Tuesday & Thrusdays 8:30AM - 11:00AM.
